设计师Sergio Rossi是意大利鞋业内的楚翘，一直处于领导地位。Opanca鞋，即为Sergio Rossi自创鞋款，外型是结合多元化的材质与夸张鞋饰而成，在当时引起流行与抄袭之风，并使德国厂商赞赏不已，但是Sergio Rossi仍然决定坚守限量生产的原则，展现对品质与艺术的执着坚持。然而从上世纪60年代开始，时尚逐渐朝平民化、普及化靠拢，这种时代性的转变，使Sergio Rossi的营业型态也发生了转变，开始放宽筛选门槛。随着品牌陆陆续续与其它品牌携手合作制作女鞋，Sergio Rossi的知名度迅速攀升，在时尚圈内大放光芒，气势水长船高，版图以等比速度扩张，到1999年时，已是一间跨国际的鞋界龙头老大，制鞋部门人数超过380人，鞋子一年的生产量高达五十六万双，战果相当可观。
