Basic Terrain started in our dining room with a cheap sewing machine and 6 yards of military canvas. Dave had recently picked up sewing again, something he learned from his mother as a kid growing up in Washington State. His goal was to make himself a pair of snowboard pants. I intercepted that with a hammock request. So with the army green canvas and some orange thread, a hammock magically appeared.
